Employee Health Systems and ACA Administrators are affiliated entities operating under the same management structure. We are physician-owned and offer comprehensive medical management providing specialized administrative and development services to physician organizations, hospitals, employers, health plans and Taft-Hartley ERISA trust plans.

Employee Health Systems (EHS) is a medical professional corporation and integrated health care delivery system that was founded in 1985 for the purpose of contracting with self-funded Taft-Hartley ERISA Trust Funds and the State of California’s Medi-Cal Primary Care Case Management (PCCM) program in Los Angeles County. EHS has prudently expanded its managed care provider networks on a national basis. In the Greater Los Angeles area, the EHS network currently consists of over 450 primary care physicians, 1,500 specialists, 20 hospitals, and all required ancillary services. EHS is also one of the top five enrollment entities for the Healthy Families program, California’s version of the federal Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), providing subsidized health care for uninsured children of families making less than 250% of the federal poverty level. All medical direction and quality of care issues are managed by EHS.

ACA Administrators is a management services organization and licensed Third Party Administrator (TPA). The company was formed in 1990 for the purpose of separating the practice of medicine and associated quality of medical care issues from the day-to-day administrative functions of managing a health benefits program.

Our organization has developed and manages over thirty (30) provider networks in twelve (12) states, serving tens of thousands of commercial, Medicaid, Healthy Families, self insured employers and union members and their dependents. We are delegated by most of our HMO plan partners for a number of administrative functions normally performed by a plan. These include claims administration and processing, utilization management, quality management, member services and credentialing.

The combination of a professional medical corporation and third party administrator allows for a unique combination of services. We have the ability to design health care benefits to available dollars, provide a fully integrated health care delivery system for those benefits, and administer both the day-to-day operations and the quality of care to the member.
