Inland Valleys IPA, a dba of Redlands IPA, was founded in 2002 to serve the greater San Bernardino and Riverside county areas.

In 2008, EHS Medical Group agreed to acquire Inland Valleys IPA. Unlike other areas, EHS-Inland Valleys has commercial HMO contracts in addition to its government programs managed care offerings such as Medi-Cal, SCHIP (Healthy Families) and Medicare. Combining EHS with Inland Valleys also allowed for overlapping membership and providers in the border regions.
